The seven main energy centers in our bodies, are known as the chakras, and each of these seven chakras are located along the spine. The seven main chakras also correlate to various physical ailments and dysfunctions, as well as our mental and emotional weaknesses and strengths. When we can release the old, stagnant energy from within our bodies, we can release our physical stiffness, tightness, or discomfort.
The cleansing of this stagnant energy can also balance our mental and emotional states of mind. If you have any aches, pains or stiffness, or certain uncomfortable and reoccurring fears and emotions, you may need to find out which one of your chakras is blocked or out of balance.
The Root Chakra
Located at the base of the spine, at your tailbone.
Physical imbalances based in the root chakra can include discomforts in the rectum, reproductive organs, legs and feet. People with a serious imbalance in the Root Chakra can also experience issues such as knee pain, sciatica, degenerative arthritis, eating disorders, and constipation.
Emotional imbalances based in the Root Chakra can include emotions realted to our basic survival needs, such as food, shelter, money, and the ability to provide for our life’s necessities.
When the Root Chakra is in balance, you will feel supported and safe, grounded, and with a sense of connection to the physical world.

The Sacral Chakra
Located approximately two inches below your belly button.
Physical imbalances based in the Sacral Chakra can include reproductive and sexual issues, urinary and kidney problems, hip, pelvic or low back pain.
Emotional imbalances based in the Sacral Chakra can include our ability to express our emotions, our personal relationships, our ability to play and have fun, and our creativity. Sexual dysfunctions, feelings of betrayal, and addictive behavior can be associated with an imbalance in the Sacral Chakra.

The Solar Plexus Chakra
Located approximately three inches above the belly button, under the solar plexus.
Physical imbalances based in the Solar Plexus Chakra can include digestive problems, chronic fatigue, and blood pressure issues..
Emotional imbalances based in the Solar Plexus Chakra can include issues concerning personal power and self esteem. Our inner critic is hidden in this chakra, generating self criticism, fear of rejection, and a distortion of our body image.
When this chakra is in balance, we have feelings of self respect and compassion for ourselves, and we feel confident, in control, and assertive.

The Heart Chakra
Located in the heart.
Physical imbalances in the Heart Chakra can include heart and lung problems, asthma, issues with breasts, shoulder and upper back problems, and arm and wrist pain.
Emotional imbalances include issues of the heart; over-loving to the point of suffocation, jealousy, abandonment, anger, bitterness. Fear of loneliness.
When the Heart Chakra is in balance, we feel gratitude, joy, love and compassion, as well as forgiveness for others.
The lesson of the Heart Chakra is Love.
The Throat Chakra
Located within the throat.
Physical imbalances based in the Throat Chakra can include sore throats, thyroid issues, TMJ, ear problems, facial , neck and shoulder pain.
Emotional imbalances based in the Throat Chakra can include issues of self expression through both written and spoken communication, feeling a lack of power, choice, or willpower or feelings of being out of control.
When the Throat Chakra is in balance, we will have a free flow of honest and truthful expression, words, and communication. We will also be good listeners.
The lesson of the Throat Chakra is to let your voice be heard.
The Third Eye Chakra
Located between the middle of the eyebrows, deep within the brain.
Physical imbalances based in the Third Eye Chakra can include headaches, sinus issues, and blurred vision.
Emotional imbalances based in the Third Eye Chakra can include moodiness and volatility, an inability to examine your fears, and an inability to learn from others. Replacing day dreaming and living in an imaginary world with real world experience could also indicate an imbalance in the Third Eye.
When the Third Eye Chakra is in balance, we feel focused, clear, and can recognize the difference between truth and illusion. We are also open to receiving insight and wisdom.

The Crown Chakra
Located at the top of the head.
Physical imbalance based in the Crown Chakra can include the inability to learn, a sensitivity to light, sound, and the environment.
Emotional imbalance based in the Crown Chakra can include rigid thoughts concerning religion and spirituality, prejudices, confusion, feelings of alienation, and issues with self knowledge and greater personal power.
When the Crown Chakra is in balance, we live in the present moment, with an unshakeable trust in our inner knowing.
